What is Anxiety?
Anxiety is about thoughts, worries, and beliefs about ourselves and the world around us. This creates physical symptoms to arises when our sympathetic response is activated in our nervous system. AKA as fight or flight response.
These symptoms we recognize when we are faced with life threatening situations. That response is what has us run away from a danger such as a fire or be able to react quickly when our child runs into the street. There are many times when these responses are doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing to keep us safe.
